The Great PumpkinBUCKELEW FARM will be having its 20th annual PUMPKIN FESTIVAL the last three weeks of October 2008. We have had an excellent response from teachers, students and parents who have participated in our field trips in the past.

School field trips will be scheduled by appointment only and will be available Monday through Friday, October 13th through the 31st. The cost is $6.00 per person, which includes horse-drawn wagon rides through the pumpkin patch and one pumpkin each. The price applies to ALL who attend: students, school staff and parent volunteers. A single payment for the entire group is preferred, as it speeds up the registration process. Checks, cash or purchase orders are accepted. We anticipate that approximately 1 to 1 ½ hours will be needed for your students to enjoy the event.

Again this year we offer the Ag Education Center, which provides information on Arizona agriculture and the history of Buckelew Farm. To further enhance your educational experience, you may wish to view sample lesson plans that were submitted by teachers in the past. (Click here)

School RideWe have a dining tent for picnics on a space available basis. We also recommend the Three Points Memorial Park, which is located approximately two miles from the BUCKELEW FARM. The park offers restrooms, ramadas, barbecue grills, playground equipment, basketball courts and grass fields.

BUCKELEW FARM is just 30 minutes from downtown Tucson. Take Ajo Way (US 86) west for 22 miles and you can't miss us. (Click here for a map)
